TPO is the reason this family exists. It is a low surface energy polyolefin, chemically inert and non-polar, and paint has nothing to bond to. Flame treatment helps and does not solve it. That single material property is why fascia painting is a separate business with separate lines, separate process control, and a separate failure mode from body painting, and why a body paint shop cannot simply run bumpers through.
